Who are "we"?

We are Konrad Rode of Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa and my loyal cat, Spike, who plays an essential role in the design process, despite the lack of opposable thumbs.

I offer the following graphic design services, with 26 years of experience behind me:

I have a pragmatic approach to design, serving my clients and product markets, whereas less experienced designers' work often exists simply to serve their egos.

My designs are the property of my clients, because, after all, they paid for it. Many design studios believe they still own the artwork, meaning that when they lose a client, they may refuse to hand over the original files, or at best hand over only low resolution files.

My clients

Most of my clients are small businesses, although I do work medium to large corporations from time to time.

I know what it means to start a new business, so I advise some clients on more  affordable options if they do not yet have the ideal budget – even if it means we get less work from them – I've been there myself.
