Logo and packaging design
Provena Professional
A loyal client of ours, Bellville-based Medis Medical, asked us to design a logo for their latest product, ProVena Professional medical hosiery / compression stockings, as well as the packaging design. And we were very happy with the results.
Le Roux Viljoen, the half of Medis we liaised with, later left the company and started OP Africa, for whom we also did design work. OP Africa would then become an Össur distributor.

ARG Design Architects and Urban Designers
ARG Design are architects, urban designers and town planners based in Observatory, Cape Town. Their portfolio includes sustainable, community-driven projects.
At first the client suggested organic, esoteric symbols in green colours which, while accurately describing their philosophy, may have alienated them from the conservative (and sometimes superstitious!) South African market.
We decided to use rectangles to indicate the systematic nature and efficiency of their work. Earthy colours were used to suggest harmony with the environment. To show their aesthetic values, we used thin outlines for the rectangles, and for the logo we used an italic, serif 'AR' for sophistication, and a solid straight 'G' to show reliability.
The business card was printed on recycled card and we went on to design a portfolio for them.
Konrad has since done work for IG Architects, owned by István Gosztola, previously of ARG Design.
Logo & stationary design
World of Africa
André Thomas commissioned Konrad to create a logo, business card and letterhead for his new tourism company, specialising in African tours.
We decided to give the logo a clean, crisp feel to indicate the upmarket target market, yet keep it colourful and African, as German and other tourists come here not for a European tour, but for their vision of what Africa's about.
World of Africa focusses especially on African diversity, giving tourists the true African experience - not only the safari experience, but the urban experience as well.
Logo development
Tharagay Addiction Services

Kenilworth-based Tharagay House, Cape Town's oldest and most experienced secondary care facility for recovering drug addicts, started expanding a few years ago. The Tharagay group would now include a primary care centre, a tertiary care centre and more.
We created logos for these new rehabs, keeping the corporate identity tight and recognisable, using different coloured leaves to indicate the cycles of recovery and life, represented as the different seasons. We kept the friendly, handwritten typeface which represents the care centres' soul.

Logo design
Wordo Communications
Elmari Potgieter was going freelance after a solid career in creative writing, and she needed a logo that would strike a balance between fun and professionalism.
"Wordo" means roughly "word wizard," "word artist" or "language expert." It's tongue-in-cheek, based on "Weirdo."

Corporate identity development
Rode & Associates Property Consultants

An important client of ours, Rode & Associates Property Consultants, based in Bellville, Cape Town, needed a re-design of their logo and full corporate identity. Rode now consisted of several divisions, and a logo was needed for each.

Logo design
Vinotage Fine Wine Merchants
Credit goes to Pieter de Waal, owner of Vinotage for the concept of the logo. Created in a popular Cape "freestyle", the logo represented his connoisseurs' wine shop in Bellville / Durbanville, Cape Town.
Wine label design
Hermit on the Hill

A client and old friend of Konrad's, Pieter de Waal (of Vinotage fame), needed a logo that would portray the medieval origins of this Boland house wine. Although Hermit on the Hill operates from Bellville, the wine is sourced from Paarl and other areas.
He needed a label that would say "house wine", something warm, something for friends – he didn't want Nederburgh
Logo & stationary design
Chelsea Village Framers & Curiosity Shoppe

Zeki Hilmi and Sue Gutteridge started this framing business and curiosity shop in Diep River, Cape Town during 2012.
They wanted that antique feel, yet keep it fresh. We decided on the French Provincial look, and extended the identity to window signs and boards, letterheads and business cards. The client was very pleased with the result.

Logo design
Wet Willy's Surf Shop

Alan Hayward, a video professional, launched his first surf (and skate) shop in Bloubergstrand, Cape Town in 2017 and asked Konrad to do design the logo.
